Running homebrew on a PSP with firmware 2+
If you own a PSP (any firmware), then I'm sure that by now you've heard something about the ability to run homebrew. This article is to help those of you who haven't yet done so and wish to. This guide describes the way to run homebrew in PSPs with firmware 2.01 and above.
You'll need a copy of the game Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories and a PSP running firmware 2.01 or higher. If you have PSP with version 2.0, with MPH downgrade you can enjoy a v1.5 PSP. Also in this guide i will use the SNES emu, but is the same for the most homebrew.
First you need the eloader096 and this SNES emulator. This emu is one of the best.
Now copy the file EBOOT.PBP from the zip and place it on you PSP in the directory F:PSPGAMESNES9X (replace F with your PSP drive letter)
You must place the roms in F:PSPGAMESNES9X. To find a SNES game rom you can just Google-ing 'snes rom download'. Unzip the rom, which should be a .smc file, and place it in folder above. Now turn on your PSP with GTA: Liberty City Stories in the UMD drive.Wait for GTA to load. Once in the game press START and then go to GAME then LOAD GAME. Select the save file with the unusual icon in slot 5, which is the eloader and select yes when asked if you want to continue and loose any unsaved data.
Wait for the eloader to load then select the SNES emulator.Once the emulator has loaded select the game you want to play.
Enjoy the SNES (my favorite console on your PSP!
Of course you can use the above guide and for other homebrews'. To see a list of the most working homebrew, go here and select 'Working EBOOTs (GTA)' on the left-hand side.
